A Postcard from Bharat

Life here moves at its own sweet pace. We find joy in sitting under the neem tree, sharing stories and laughter. We stretch out on the khaat, soaking in the warm sun. We enjoy eating rotis fresh off the chulha, paired with chutneys ground on the sil-batta. Our big glass of chach or lassi keeps us refreshed and full of life. This is us. This is life in Bharat; simple and joyful.

Frequently Ask Question

What makes A2 ghee different from regular ghee?

A2 cow ghee is made from the milk of cows that produce A2 beta-casein, and studies of Indian cattle have found that indigenous breeds such as Sahiwal overwhelmingly carry the A2 variant. Our A2 desi cow ghee is made from Sahiwal and Kankrej cows' milk using the traditional bilona method, hand-churned from curd and slow-cooked, rather than made directly from separated cream.

Is your A2 ghee pure?

The ingredients list names only A2 desi cow milk fat. A batch tested by FARE Labs in September 2026 against FSSAI standards for ghee showed 99.93% milk fat, 0.07% moisture, and no vegetable fat or mineral oil. Our FSSAI licence numbers, listed on our website, include 10821005000409 and 10819005000872.

Which size should I buy?

The 500 ml jar suits a first try or a smaller household, the 1 litre jar and three-jar family pack suit regular family cooking, and the 2.5 litre and 5 litre dolchis suit bulk buyers. Current prices for each size are shown on this page.

Can I buy A2 desi cow ghee in bulk?

Yes. The same A2 desi cow ghee comes in a 2.5 litre dolchi and a 5 litre steel dolchi, as well as the three-jar family pack. A smaller 300 ml A2 ghee jar is also available as a separate listing.

How should I store it once opened?

Keep it in a cool, dry place, tightly closed, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Use a clean, dry spoon each time.
